The International Black Belt Registry has retained the services of very reputable organizations to provide technical guidance for the purpose of aiding our members in advancing in rank and recognition. IBBR has retained the following associations/federations for this purpose:

All other exams will be reviewd by the IBBR Board of Grand Masters and graded accordingly.
Black Belt Advancement may be earned in the following manner through IBBR:
- Via video examination demonstrating all requirements for advancement to the next highest Dan level.
- In-Person examination held at the IBBR Headquarters.
Time-in-grade advancement does not and will not apply for Certification without examination and/or review.
Standard Video Testing Fees:
1st Degree Black Belt - $150.00
2nd Degree Black Belt - $200.00 - min. of 2 years at 1st Degree
3rd Degree Black Belt - $250.00 - min. of 3 years at 2nd Degree
4th Degree Black Belt - $300.00 - min. of 4 years at 3rd Degree
5th Degree Black Belt - $350.00 - min. of 4 years at 4th Degree
6th Degree Black Belt - $400.00 - min. of 4 years at 5th Degree
7th Degree Black Belt - $450.00 - min. of 4 years at 6th Degree
8th Degree Black Belt - $500.00 - min. of 4 years at 7th Degree
In-Person Examinations require an appointment. The In-Person Exam Fees are as follows:
1st Degree Black Belt - $350.00
2nd Degree Black Belt - $450.00 - min. of 2 years at 1st Degree
3rd Degree Black Belt - $550.00 - min. of 3 years at 2nd Degree
4th Degree Black Belt - $650.00 - min of 4 years at 3rd Degree
5th Degree Black Belt - $750.00 - min. of 4 years at 4th Degree
6th Degree Black Belt - $800.00 - min. of 4 years at 5th Degree
7th Degree Black Belt - $850.00 - min. of 4 years at 6th Degree
